Job Introduction

A temporary administrative role for 9 months is now available in the Core Support and Improvement, Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Business Support Team.

Our team:

Business Support plays a vital role in the effective functioning of Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Services, facilitating seamless operations that enable frontline staff to prioritise community engagement. Our team delivers comprehensive administrative support across key areas including Strategic Management, Safeguarding, First Contact, Adult Learning Disabilities and DOLs thereby empowering operational managers and social workers to focus on individuals requiring assistance. Each position within Business Support contributes significantly to the well-being of people throughout Staffordshire.

Main Responsibility

This is an important opportunity to contribute to the support a high-profile programme of work focused on improving data quality, maintaining service resilience and supporting readiness for the implementation of a new Health and Care client database.

You will play a key role in helping the service respond to increased operational demand, tackle data strands cleansing activity, reduce backlog and support other business continuity during a period of change. This post offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on compliance, service effectiveness and the quality of information used across the service.

Why this role matters

This post is critical to supporting data quality, compliance and audit readiness across the service. The work will help improve operational efficiency, reduce duplication and strengthen resilience during a significant period of organisational and system change. The role will also provide wider administrative support across the service as operational needs arise.

The Ideal Candidate

The minimum criteria that will be used to shortlist for this role will be:

NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
Work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for day to day decisions
Confident with data analysis, interpreting, formatting and accurately presenting information using databases.
Has strong administrative experience in a busy service environment
Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective written and oral communication skills with internal & external colleagues
The ability and significant experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Office, Outlook

This role may require working from different offices. Currently, we operate both in-office and remotely in line with business demand.
