We’re recruiting a Head of Working Age Adult Services to lead a vital and rewarding area of Adult Social Care at Milton Keynes City Council. You’ll play a key role in delivering high quality services for residents, helping us make a real difference to people’s lives across our city. We are a unitary council responsible for over 200 services and we work closely with partners to create cleaner, safer communities, tackle inequalities and help people live well and independently. Our values are at the heart of everything we do and we expect our leaders to be dedicated, respectful and collaborative in their approach.This role sits within our Adult Services leadership team, leading complex services that support adults with a learning disability, autism, physical disabilities and long-term conditions under the age of 65. The post holder is accountable for the delivery of services, including: Social work services for Working Age Adults including Learning Disability, Autism and people with a physical disability or long-term condition under the age of 65.The adult service team in this area is a joint NHS and social care team. The workforce consists of professionally qualified colleagues including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and nurses. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners, including the NHS, to ensure the best outcomes for adults and carers.
